Production Supervisor
Mortara Instrument, a fast-growing global leader in non-invasive cardiology devices, is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Production Supervisor. This position is located at the company's headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
The Production Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for deploying the Operations strategy on the shop floor. This position will create a work environment that fosters continuous improvement thinking, unrelenting pursuit of high quality, discipline for adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, and a strong track record of achieving results. This position is also responsible for leading and developing the employees in their work area focusing on cross training and the promotion of lean thinking. As a key member of the organization the supervisor will work with upper management and the individual contributors on transforming the manufacturing area into a high-performance team through the use of 5S, Level Pull, Flow, Value Stream Mapping, visual tools and measurements and the application of good problem solving techniques.
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Operations Management or related field.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in the field of Production and Operations. Some previous work experience with an electronic assembly and test environment under ISO 13485 guidelines is a plus.
- Must be able to read, write, and interpret the English language.
- Working knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and CRP (Capacity Requirements Planning).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel PC formats.
- Working knowledge of lean systems.
- Knowledge of 21CFR820 regulations.
- Well organized, detail oriented, and able to work effectively on an independent basis.
