Mortara Instrument, Inc. Announces eCardio Diagnostics as the First Service Provider Offering the New H3+ Holter Monitor for Arrhythmia Assessment

Holter monitoring gives physicians a constant reading of a patient’s heart rate and rhythm during a designated 24 or 48 hour period to help them assess the nature of their patients’ potential heart problem. 

Once the patient records their heart rhythm, the data is then uploaded by the physician directly to eCardio Diagnostics lab via a secure USB connection for analysis.  The report is reviewed, analyzed and returned to the referring physician within 24 hours for diagnosis.

The continuous recording makes the H3+ Holter monitor effortless for the patient and subsequently increases patient compliance.

Holter monitors are used by cardiologist and electrophysiologists to monitor and diagnose many heart rhythm problems. Heart rhythm problems, or arrhythmias, occur when the electrical impulses in your heart coordinating your heartbeats don't function properly, causing your heart to beat too fast, too slow or irregularly. An arrhythmia may result in a heartbeat that is unusually fast (tachycardia), unusually slow (bradycardia), or irregular (atrial fibrillation). An arrhythmia may be brief and unnoticeable, or it may be startling, obvious or even fatal.
