New ELI Electrocardiograph Release Enables DICOM Connectivity and Secure Wireless ECG Workflow

MILWAUKEE, WI USA

Mortara Instrument, Inc. announced today that Release 1.30 of the ELI 150 and ELI 250 electrocardiogrpahs are now available. Release 1.30 includes several new enhancements to the ELI platform including support for industry standard DICOM connectivity and enhanced security for wireless ECG workflow.

The widely implemented DICOM standard has been in use within the Health Care community since the mid 1990’s for traditional Radiology and Cardiology modalities, including CT, MRI, Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine.

Under the DICOM standard, facilities are able to choose best in class imaging modalities from different manufacturers and be assured of connectivity and access to clinical data, independent of what device acquired that data. With the new ELI release, the ELI 150 and ELI 250 now support the DICOM standard including generation of DICOM 12-lead objects and management of the DICOM Modality Worklist. Justin L. The ELI release also provides a new level of secure wireless communication. Featuring an industry standard 802.11 wireless option with support for multiple security protocols including WEP, WPA and Cisco (LEAP), the ELI electrocardiograph platform is designed to integrate into a wide variety of existing hospital networks.
