Under the agreement between the two companies, Mortara will provide its full spectrum of clinical research solutions to Medpace, including 21 CFR part 11 data management, electrocardiographs and the Surveyor 12-lead Telemetry System. The Surveyor 12-lead Telemetry System will be installed in Medpace’s state-of-the-art CPU currently under construction and scheduled for completion in early 2007. “We are very pleased with Medpace’s choice of Mortara as their ECG technology supplier and we look forward to supporting this innovative CRO in their expansion.” Dr. Justin L. Mortara, Ph.D., Vice President, Mortara Instrument stated. Regarding the selection of Mortara 12-lead telemetry, Mortara noted, “Their adoption of the Surveyor 12-lead Telemetry System will enable Medpace’s CPU to support both traditional early stage studies requiring telemetry monitoring as well as thorough-QT studies requiring intensive 12-lead ECG documentation and data collection. With our patented 12-lead telemetry technology, a single 12-lead transmitter can be used to significantly reduce excess instrumentation and improve overall workflow within the CPU.”
“After thorough review of various platforms, we have chosen Mortara as our ECG technology partner,” commented Dr. August Troendle, Chief Executive Officer, Medpace. “Mortara’s leadership in ECG central laboratory solutions coupled with its innovative 12-lead telemetry solution will assist us in providing best in class ECG service offerings to our customers as we expand our portfolio of services offered to the pharmaceutical industry.”
Mortara Instrument clinical research products include the E-Scribe Rx ECG data management system, ELI® 12-lead electrocardiographs with VERITAS™ algorithms, H-Scribe Rx Holter analysis systems with H12+ 12-lead Holter recorders and the Surveyor 12-lead Telemetry System with VERITAS™ algorithms. The Surveyor system supports continuous diagnostic 12-lead ECG data collection while simultaneously enabling real time subject monitoring for arrhythmias and other events.
