Mortara Instrument Announces New Web Site

Today Mortara Instrument, Inc. unveiled a redesigned web site (www.mortara.com) to better communicate its cardiology capabilities to the healthcare industry and to provide a means to easily assess its wide spectrum of ECG technology offerings. In addition to providing information on Mortara products such as non-invasive diagnostic ECG equipment, the site highlights Mortara's strong suite of OEM technology solutions for ECG applications. With this new emphasis, there are several important additions in the OEM technology section that are specifically targeted for incorporation in patient monitoring and diagnostic cardiology product offerings.

Brian Brenegan, VP of Operations noted, "The redesigned site is a clear statement of our ECG technology capabilities. Mortara's leadership in the world of ECG is demonstrated not only in our end-user products, but also in the advanced component technologies that we have delivered to other device companies for nearly 20 years." Brenegan also commented on what Mortara perceives as an industry trend, "Many medical device companies are re-focusing their R&D budgets on areas other than vital signs development. Mortara's focus on ECG technology makes it an ideal partner for those companies that are looking to deliver excellence in ECG without making the significant internal R&D investment required to deliver that excellence."

The redesigned site also features a new OEM branding initiative, "Heart of Mortara". The "Heart of Mortara" brand will be utilized by Mortara to designate its OEM technology offerings and, at the request of partner companies, be placed on devices which incorporate Mortara ECG technology.

Regarding the "Heart of Mortara" initiative, Brenegan commented, "Until recently, our several partner companies have generally asked that we play an anonymous role as their technology provider and Mortara will continue to do so when requested. However, in future OEM alliances we will offer companies a choice of adopting the 'Heart of Mortara' brand and to enjoy the high level of credibility in cardiology that comes with the Mortara name."
