Compact Telemetry Solution

The Mortara PCI RF Card (915 MHz) can support up to 8 independent receivers on a single full-size PCI card. Each receiver can be tuned through a software interface to one of 256 possible channels.

The PCI RF card, combined with the X-12 telemetry transmitter, provides a diagnostic 12-lead solution for traditional telemetry monitoring, stress exercise testing or other monitoring environments. Reduced lead set configurations are also available.

Telemetry Transmission Protocol

Encoded in the transmission protocol for every sample is a redundancy which allows the receiver to detect and, in most instances, repair transmission/reception data errors. Error rates of 1 bit/ 1000 transmitted are tolerated without visible signal degradation when this correction is applied.

Included in the transmission protocol are pacemaker pulse detection flags, lead fault, transmitter event button selection, transmitter low battery, RF signal loss and RF interference from another source. The telemetry transmission protocol also has a capacity for an additional 500 bit/s information transmission (for possible use with auxiliary sources, such as SpO2, NIBP, etc...).
