Resting ECG
Interpretation Performance Analysis
The
Mortara Instrument Resting ECG
Interpretation Analysis program has been
recognized as a leader in the field of
computerized 12-lead interpretation. This
leadership is best demonstrated by the
numerous device manufacturers who choose
to use the Mortara Insrtument program in
their own products.
To
evaluate the analysis program, ECGs were
randomly collected in a clinical and
hospital settings. These ECGs were
collected and then stored in digital form
on floppy disks.
To test
the criteria, ECGs from the database were
submitted to a doctor to interpret as one
would when reading a standard ECG
available in a typical heart station. In
addition, the same ECGs were interpreted
by the Mortara Instrument Analysis
program contained in the interpretive
electrocardiograph.
No
reinterpretation was allowed by the
doctor or the electrocardiograph. The
results were then tabulated as found in
Tables 1 and 2 of this document.
The
results demonstrate why Mortara
Instrument is the World Leader in ECG
Technology.
